“It’s not about how much we give, but how much love we put into giving” – Mother Teresa

Open Arms Free Clinic strives to connect those who can help with those who need help. Forming at the end of a recession, the annual budget started at zero in 2012. Financial contributions continue to leverage the ten-fold value of services from in-kind support received by professional volunteers and partnerships. OAFC relies on private donations, grants, and fundraising events to maintain its general operations. Every dollar makes a difference.

Give online or by mail. Give monthly, quarterly, or annually. Give just because, in Honor, or in Memory of a loved one. Cash, checks, credit card gifts can be made to Open Arms Free Clinic.

Mailed gifts payable to:
PO BOX 678, Elkhorn, WI 53121

You have the ability to make a lasting impact on OAFC by establishing a gift to the organization through your will or living trust. Your attorney can assist you with establishing this gift. Along similar lines, you might consider adding OAFC as the beneficiary of your IRA or life insurance policy, which again provides a wonderful legacy gift to the organization. A legacy gift through your IRA may also have tax benefits, and we’d encourage you to speak with your tax advisor about this opportunity.

If you have questions where to start, feel free to contact:

You can lower your income for tax purposes while meeting your required minimum distributions from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) and support OAFC. If you are age 70 1/2 or older, you can direct your IRA administrator to make contributions directly from your IRA to OAFC. Such contributions will count toward your required minimum distributions starting at age 72, but will not count as income to you! We encourage you to speak with your tax advisor on how to take advantage of this tax savings opportunity.

OAFC accepts gifts of stock, which provides a great opportunity to immediately support the organization while managing the tax implications of your investment portfolio. Bonds, mutual funds, or ETFs (exchange-traded funds) can also be gifted to a nonprofit. If you are interested in these giving opportunities, please contact Edward Jones Investment on executing your gift.
